Today I spoke a few words. My voice does not sound pretty and when I do talk it hurts my throat. I am sure that my throat will finally get used to it.

We have all heard the saying that you really don't miss something until you don't have it. How many times has the electricity gone out and we go over and turn on the switch anyway or the water is shut off and we turn the faucet on out of habit.

Well, I guess the same goes with my voice. Communication is so important and we take for granted at times even the fact we can speak.

How important is your voice. It is very important. Yet we can speak without saying a word. Yes we can write down what we want to say or we can learn sign language or some other form of communicating.

Yet everyday we speak without uttering a word. We speak with our actions. Do people know we are Christians by our actions. We all have heard this, "Actions speak louder then words". How true that is.

What are your actions saying today?

Paul put it like this:2 Thess 3:7-9 For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you; Neither did we eat any man's bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you: Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us.

Phil 3:17 Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample.

Paul said to Timothy...1 Tim 4:12 Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

So we can speak without saying a word out of our mouth. Be an example. Jesus said: Matt 5:16 In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father. NLT

What did you just say to those around you?

Blessings,
Rick
